Hey lovely Maizenians!
My name is Sara Breugelmans. This year will be my first year as a real Maizenian and I am glad that I
have the chance to be one of the members of the 14 th board of Maizena. I already met such lovely
people and I hope to learn more and more about you.
Let me first say something about myself. Before my masters I studied Pedagogical Science here at the
Radboud. So I’ve known Nijmegen for a while now. However, I didn’t live in such a big and beautiful
city before. My parents still live in Asten. If this doesn’t ring a bell, don’t worry you’re not the only
one. Ironically, this bell is what made Asten famous. The fun fact is that the clock of the one and only
Notre Dame was made in Asten. Not that I made it, but still…
When I’m not busy with finding out where that stupid error in R came from, you can find me in the
city lunching with friends, at the child helpline where I am a volunteer or you can find me in the
sports centre. So if you ever wonder why I walk like a penguin, HIIT (aka High Intensity Interval
Training) is mostly the answer.
Last February I went abroad for a while to Australia and New Zealand. Being in a totally different
country made me realize that I really like to get to know people from all over the world. During this
master and my board year I hope to continue this.
Okay enough about me. I would also like to get to know you! So I hope that I will meet you all at our
activities, kicking off with the GMM and the famous bowling night on the 18 th .
See you then! X
