Dear Reader,

Let me tell you the story of a James. In a land far away, a place called Portchester, a young, chubby child was brought gasping and spluttering into this world. He was an ugly, ugly child, but there was some charm to that. His parents looked at him, in his beetroot red face and thought, “one day you might do something special”. So, he honed his skills in his homeland, hoping for that fateful day when he would be able to do something great. He travelled far and wide… via the eurolines bus… to a foreign land – the Netherlands. At first, he was in awe of the flatness of this land, the straight-forward people… and stroopwafels (“YUM”!), but in time he grew to love his new home, and hoped he would one day be able to lovingly show his adopted land to all new people he would meet. That day finally occurred when he was chosen as chair of maizena (subject to your approval at the General Members Meeting [GMM]  on 12th October at 19:00, *cough cough* much promotions, such wow :D) and he knew he wanted to work with everyone to make the upcoming year as great as the last!

Based on his previous experience in the magazine committee last year, and his great enthusiasm for the activity/ party committee, he will be in these two committees, doing his utmost best (although he needs people to join him in this great endeavour so let him know if you will join him, in person or via email: maizenarmbs@gmail.com!).

At this juncture in the story the young protagonist is hopeful, yet cautious, he knows not to overestimate the task ahead, but knows he will be surrounded by lovely people. For now, he will be around all over the place, so if you see him he loves to hear from you; how your day is going, what is up, what your plans are, any ideas you may have for Maizena, absolutely anything! Also if you are ever bored you can come see him in his office 😀 So don’t be afraid, he doesn’t bite… much 😉
