Lovely Maizenians,
I am Sanne Tamboer and I will be your secretary/vice-president this year! (If you want me to of course, please join the General Members Meeting on October 12th :)).
I am 22 years old, a second year research master student and trying to do the news and journalism master at the same time (spoiler alert: not recommended). As the first ‘kinderdierecteur’ (child director + Dutch word play with the word animal (‘dier’) in director) of the Apenheul (monkey zoo), I already have some board experience. However, I was 11 at the time and you are no monkeys, so we will see how this works out.
Before this master, I did my bachelor in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. But, let’s be honest, Nijmegen is much better. Besides studying, I’m trying to become a #fitgirl while at the same time eating all foods (next spoiler alert: doesn’t work).
Last year I really enjoyed joining Maizena activities and I hope you will too this year. Together with Geraly, I was in the travel committee, and we organized two amazing (and relaxing ;)) trips. This year I will be in the workshop and graduation committees. However, I can’t organize lots of great workshops and make a yearbook on my own, so I would be very happy if you would want to join me!
